After reading my SPIN magazine today, I decided to check out a couple of the bands that it suggested were "awesome". I logged on to my imeem account and searched.
All the bands I listened to, I've heard before. (Not that I don't like the bands.)
Interpol sounds like The Killers.
Paramore sounds like (techno) Avril Lavigne.
Hawthorne Heights sounds like (screamo) Hedley.
The ones with more originality? Names like: The All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy .. the original rock-emo-punk-alternatives.
Spoiler: Rumor has it that once FOB releases their next album, they come to Winnipeg! Woo!
